Here are three simple ways that Email automation will help you get the best from your mailing List.
1. Re-Engage OR Disengage
Okay, you have a long subscriber list. Does that mean you have a list of – Useful Email Addresses?
eBusinesses often get stuck with a ton of useless email Ids. One-time-interaction emails. Incorrectly typed addresses.
Email clients normally handle emails that hard bounce from an email blast.
These get automatically flagged and deleted.
BUT
What about email addresses that never seem to open anything?
Set up an automated campaign. This will send out a re-engagement email to subscribers. Mail this to all who haven’t opened any of your emails in a long time.
Ensure your subject line grabs the receiver’s attention. At the start of your email clearly, mention that it’s been a while without any engagement. Offer engagement options with content the receiver would be interested in.
Anyone who engages with this email stays on your subscriber list. Anyone who doesn’t get deleted.
This will reduce your mailing list addresses to ones that matter. It will also save you money over time. Especially if you’re using an email service provider that charges based on the number of sends, as most do.
