The MyCurator Website

There are a ton of Bloggers putting out excellent content, using content curation as their content creation technique. As other Bloggers join in to use content curation as a technique to place site visitor valuable content on their Blog sites, they are finding that content curation can be hard work. Using content curation to deliver original, valuable, site visitor content on a Blog site has its own hurdles. This can be as hard as creating original content, and is definitely time consuming.

The biggest hurdle to content curation is that the Internet readily delivers a huge amount of information that must be read, understood, and finally curated. To consistently offer excellent curated information on a Blog site it´s necessary to seriously process the content of anywhere between 20 to 35 articles, which contain material specific to a topic, to find great content to curate. Just visually skimming through a bunch of titles from within an RSS feed reader and using such content on your Blog site is really not going to get the job done.

Discovering Great Content

As a content curator one has to search pretty far and wide on the Internet to find interesting and insightful articles on a specific topic.

To do this requires:

Setting up Google alerts for the keywords that are of current interest. Using Google alerts does provide a very wide search, because Google does not narrow the content returned based on ones recent Browsing history. Hence, this approach will always bring in a wider range of articles that normally returned by Google when only online search is used every day to cull content from the Internet.

Additionally, identify and create a list of authority Blog sites that one must keep visiting in one´s quest for insightful ( i.e. site visitor useful ) content.

Set up news alerts. Seriously search Twitter for topics of your interest. Monitor feeds from key online publications. This sort of collective approach will definitely bring to you different types of articles, which would contain valuable site visitor content.

Adopt and use and RSS reader whose functionality like. Search for, identify and acquire one or more various Internet based content curation tools – MyCurator – is one such tool.

If MyCurator is used, you can enter its source RSS feeds right into the Links section of any WordPress Blog. As many such feeds as you desire. MyCurator also helps in searching for Twitter content using a tool which is part of MyCurator itself.

Once I started using MyCurator it presented me with a beautifully ordered list of articles – with some extra content searching and filtering capabilities – that helped me scan through a whole lot of article content material swiftly and efficiently.

MyCurator Works As A Tireless Personal Assistant

The built-in AI in MyCurator reads the content of every article in its feeds. Not just the headline or short excerpt. The MyCurator AI actually extracts the full text from the original web page and processes it.

To kick off inform MyCurator which topics need to be followed. This requires the setting of filters that can include or exclude articles based on a combination of specific keywords. Articles that are accepted by MyCurator, based on the keyword filters set, are then classified by its built in AI as Good, Bad or not sure.

Training MyCurator to classify articles according to your requirements is easy. All one has to do is click the thumbs up or thumbs down icon attached to each article.

After some time, MyCurator learns to pick out articles that you are looking for. Once properly trained, MyCurator will correctly eliminate 90% of off topic content and junk articles delivered by the RSS feeds setup.

It´s really like having a personal assistant to read and classify articles from within the RSS feeds set, tirelessly all day long. This is really a huge help in freeing up your time for more productive work. You can then spend your time finding the most interesting and site visitor valuable article content from within appropriately filtered RSS feeds.

The Content Curation Process

Once appropriate content has been identified this content must be curated in to a Blog post. Some content curation tools require that you select, copy and paste appropriate content from an article into the Blog post. Other content curation tools have various ways to easily add content and images from the RSS feed article into a Blog post.

It´s in this process MyCurator really shines.

MyCurator places the full text of the article, as well as any images visible within the article, right into your WordPress Post Editor page, to offer you the most convenient content curation process possible.

The Final Step

Once the content of your Blog post is setup for you within the WordPress Blog editor page, you are free to edit this content any which way you choose. Additionally, you can add your comments and opinions within this content itself.

This just has to done by you personally. This is what brings a touch of originality to the curated content. This is the only real effort that to put in.

All the other effort, required to identify appropriate article content in an RSS feed, which is really 90% of the manual labor involved in identifying great content to curate, has been automated for you.

I´ve found that that I´ve really saved a huge amount of time using MyCurator, when compared to searching for and validating appropriate article content manually.

Therefore I have a whole lot more time to read and appreciate well written articles by others. Reading and digesting such good quality, site visitor valuable article content, often inspires and spurs me on to create original Blog posts for my own Blog site.
